Here are my Thursday Thoughts, a short list of the most interesting things that I’ve read, heard, and/or watched over the past week.

Sorry for the absence of last week’s thoughts. I was off enjoying a short vacation over the July 4th holiday.

What I Read:

NFTs Are a Scam / NFTs Are the Future

Bobby “Hundreds” Kim captures the essence of NFTs in his latest book. The initial portion of the book employs established cultural trends to demystify NFTs. My favorite parts, however, were the concluding chapters, where Kim delves into his personal journey into the NFT realm with the formation of the Adam Bomb Squad. It was fascinating to get an inside look at how decisions were made regarding the collection and its launch.

What I Heard:

Cooking at Home: Delicious Food Made Easy

In a recent podcast episode, David Chang joins Chris Hutchins to discuss all aspects of home cooking. The episode was loaded with insights from start to finish. I was especially struck by the discussion regarding the microwave as a crucial culinary tool. Additionally, David Chang’s comprehensive discussion on MSG and frozen foods was particularly enlightening.

What I Bought:

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23

One of my running shoes recently crossed the 400-mile mark. Consequently, I visited my local running shoe store to find a new pair. The salesperson I met was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the distinction between neutral and support shoes, as well as why one should only stick to one type.

He suggested that I stick to the latest model of my current shoe. I’ve only run in them once since the purchase, but the new Brooks Adrenaline shoes feel fantastic.
