Leon's List - 2023 Week 11

Leon’s List is a weekly post about waiver wire players I’m keeping an eye on.

Adian O’Connell (QB - LV)

Aidan O’Connell might be the only starting quarterback left on the waiver wire. This isn’t saying too much as quarterbacks outside of the top ten have been awful.

O’Connell looked decent on Sunday night against the Jets. He was able to orchestrate a game winning drive with a touchdown pass to Michael Mayer. It’s hard to discount anyone with Davante Adams on their team.

Jameis Winston (QB - NO)

Derek Carr left the game last week with a concussion and shoulder injury. Jameis Winston came in and let it fly. He threw two amazing touchdown passes with two bad interceptions. That’s the Winston experience. The great thing in fantasy is that passing touchdowns are worth four points while interceptions are only minus one.

The Saints are on bye this week and play the Falcons in Week 12. I’m not sure if Winston will be starting in Week 12 but he might be worth stashing given that it’s hard to find a quarterback that can throw for 300 yards on a given Sunday.

Quentin Johnston (WR - LAC)

The rookie wide receiver finally stepped up and had some big catches against the Lions. He also caught his first touchdown pass. Johnston seems to be trending in the right direction and could be in for a big finish to the season. The Chargers need him to step up if they have any hopes for the playoffs.

Rondale Moore (WR - ARI)

Kyler Murray finally returned to the field after a gruesome ACL injury ended his season last year. He did Kyler things and helped the Cardinals win their second game of the season.

One beneficiary to his return is Rondale Moore. Moore had his most targets and catches of the season last game. I think this trend will continue as Kyler whips this Cardinal offense back into shape.
