In this short newsletter, I share the most interesting things that I’ve read, heard, and/or watched over the past week. What I Wrote: Q2 2022 Crypto Portfolio Allocations | NineOverFour I wrote a post about my cryptocurrency holdings. I summarized my actions from Q2 and outlined my plans for the current quarter. I was a bit hesitant to publish this post because it reveals my finances. With all the security risks associated with crypto, it’s probably not the smartest thing to publish your holdings.

Q2 2022 Crypto Portfolio Allocations

Aug 22, 2022
I was inspired by the Merit Circle monthly treasury reports to share my own crypto portfolio allocations. Although I’m not a big DAO with venture capital funds, I like the idea of transparency and building in the open. I previously shared my Axie Infinity adventures and numbers in my Axie Journal series. I enjoyed hearing from readers and responding to their emails. The goal is the same with this post. I want to get feedback on my portfolio.

What I Read: On Learning in Public I’m not exactly sure how I found Ava and bookbear express. But I am glad that I did. Her writing reminds me of pieces I read when I first started NineOverFour. Deeply personal but with lessons that apply to almost anyone. In this essay, Ava responds to a question from a reader about learning in the open.

Axie Town Hall - 8/1/2022 Summary

Aug 6, 2022
Axie Infinity held a town hall with the community on their Discord channel on 8/1/2022. Not everyone has time to listen live or watch the recording. Or they just want to read about what was discussed. So I decided to put together a written summary. This post is inspired by Samipunch and his summaries of the DFK AMA’s. A recording of the town hall can be found on the Axie Infinity YouTube channel .

In this short newsletter, I share the most interesting things that I’ve read, heard, and/or watched over the past week. What I Wrote: Essential SE Exam Study Materials | NineOverFour It’s been a while since I wrote an essay. It feels good to write, edit, and publish a longer piece. I wrote this piece as an update to my previous essay on passing the structural engineering licensure exam. The original essay was written over five years ago.

In this short newsletter, I share the most interesting things that I’ve read, heard, and/or watched over the past week. What I’ve Read: Writing Is Thinking: Learning to Write With Confidence In this blog post, Steph Smith explains her writing process. I was surprised at her high standards for quality and value provided. She doesn’t proceed with an idea unless it truly benefits others. I also liked her take on SEO.
