What I Read: The Only Crypto Story You Need, by Matt Levine | Bloomberg I got back into crypto in May of last year. It started with reading an article about Axie Infinity , a play to earn game. It evolved into learning about various blockchains, DeFi, hardware wallets, and NFTs.

The fantasy football regular season is over! The seeds are set for the first round of the playoffs. I’ll have more on the playoffs further down.

What I Read: Consumer Trends: 2023 | The New Consumer The New Consumer puts out powerpoint slides each year that summarize American trends. The presentation is simple and effective. There’s one big headline followed by a graph or table. It tells you what’s important and shows the rest of the data.

I followed the US Men’s National Team in the World Cup this past week. It’s been a wild ride of ups and downs. One interesting thing I noticed with the World Cup is the term knockout rounds. We don’t really use that term in American sports. We call it the playoffs or the postseason.

What I Read: The Three Sides of Risk | Collaborative Fund Morgan Housel shares a deeply personal story from his teenage years. A skiing accident on the backside of a resort killed two of his friends.
This event shaped Morgan Housel’s view on life. His appetite for risk plummeted. He would err on the side of safety in many aspects of life.
